Tap Truck Fort Myers - Branch of the Month May 2025

When you think of resilience, community, and classic cars mixed with a serious love for beer, Tap Truck Fort Myers comes roaring to mind. Owned and operated by Frank and Deb, this Florida-based branch has taken the Gulf Coast by storm, navigating challenges with grit and building a strong presence in their local scene. We’re excited to celebrate the inspiring journey of Tap Truck Fort Myers as our Branch of the Month for May 2025!

Frank first discovered Tap Truck in one of the most modern ways possible: scrolling through TikTok. "I loved it," he says. "Went to IG, found more stuff to love, then realized I could actually become part of the family. I ran into Deb's office and yelled, 'There's this awesome business that's all about old trucks and beer—we have to do it!'" That enthusiasm sparked a journey that would transform their lives. Officially launching in May 2022, they brought Tap Truck to Fort Myers to their local community, bringing a totally foreign mobile bar concept to the area. "That made us the trendsetters," Frank explains. "Having the backing of Tap Truck USA made it less intimidating."

Their first truck is a real head-turner—a 1956 Chevy Panel Truck named Donny B. Equipped with a modern LS engine and plenty of “go-fast stuff,” Donny B might squeak and rattle, but he drives like a dream. "He’s the soul of our business," Frank says. "He brings smiles, sparks conversations, and sets the tone at every event." The couple has plans to grow their fleet. They're currently building out a 1969 Chevy C10 named Beaufort as a support vehicle for larger events. And while Beaufort may not be their next Tap Truck, they're already dreaming about a future second truck to meet growing demand.

Not long after launching, disaster struck. Hurricane Ian left Donny B under five feet of water and devastated Frank and Deb’s lives. "Trying to get the business up and running while our life was in shambles after losing everything in a hurricane was tough," Frank shares. "But it made us stronger." Fast-forward to today: Frank is full-time with Tap Truck, and Deb—who worked in banking—has started a women’s clothing boutique with her twin sister, launching in July. "We’ve always known we weren’t meant to have 'regular' jobs," Deb adds.

"We’ve really grown in how we can handle events easily and with no trouble," Frank says. "We used to always think that each event would have at least one small obstacle we had to fight through. Now, things go so smoothly nearly every time." The biggest challenge now? Meeting demand. With more event bookings and a broader audience, they're exploring licensing for public sales, which could open up a whole new revenue stream. "Once we get that piece of the puzzle solved, we’re going to go nuts."

Their territory spans Fort Myers and Naples, and they’ve quickly become a staple at local venues like A-Line Ranch, M&M Farms, and the stunning Grace River Island Resort, where they’ve already booked a wedding for 2026!

Tap Truck Fort Myers is deeply tied to their local scene. They work to build connections with local breweries like:

Their favorite types of events? Golf tournaments. “They’re full of local business owners, politicians, and entrepreneurs. It’s the perfect place to make new connections,” Frank says.

Advice to Future Tap Truck Owners:

"Don’t be intimidated when you see what other licensees are doing in their market. You can do it, too," Frank emphasizes. "Above all, this is a people business. You have to love meeting people, being social, and not be afraid of some hard, physical work sometimes."

For Frank and Deb, one of the best parts of the journey has been the Tap Truck family. “The camaraderie—knowing there are so many other owners out there willing to help—it’s made this an amazing journey so far. Being able to lean into their knowledge and experience has been priceless.”
