When it comes to creating unforgettable beer experiences, Tap Truck always delivers—and this year’s Brewfest at Broadway Pier was no exception. Corbin O'Reilly, co-founder of Tap Truck USA, rolled up with a familiar face: our 1965 Chevy C10 named “Blue,” the second-ever build in our fleet and a true workhorse that continues to impress at every event. With the stunning San Diego Waterfront as our backdrop, we poured ice-cold brews for an enthusiastic crowd ready to celebrate great beer, delicious food, and even better company.
For this event, we had the pleasure of teaming up with one of our favorite local breweries: Bay City Brewing Co. Known for their flavorful, easy-drinking beers and community-focused vibe, Bay City was the perfect partner for this lively taco and beer fiesta. Before heading to the pier, Corbin stopped by their Point Loma location to load up on two of their standout brews—Ron Murkundy Hazy IPA and Fiesta Island Pilsner. With these crowd-pleasers on tap, we knew we were ready to bring the flavor and fun to downtown.
Once we set up, it was all hands on deck. From checking the beer lines to making sure every pour was spot-on, we take pride in every detail of the setup process. Positioned perfectly at the edge of the pier, our tent quickly became a hotspot for festival-goers. With Bay City’s representative, Billy, on hand to promote their brewery and share more about their lineup, the collaboration truly came full circle—serving great beer while spreading the word about one of San Diego’s best local brewers.
As the event unfolded, the energy was electric. Music, tacos, and a whole lot of sunshine kept the good vibes flowing all day long. Our taps stayed busy, and the feedback from guests was nothing short of fantastic. It’s these types of events—laid-back yet high-energy, with the perfect mix of good drinks and good people—that remind us why Tap Truck exists in the first place.
